   Il nostro soggiorno alla Tana dell'Istrice è stato soddisfacente da tutti i punti di vista: la location (un'antica dimora ristrutturata che offre i comfort moderni pur mantenendo le caratteristiche storiche del luogo), l'accoglienza impeccabile e curata nei minimi particolari fatta di eleganza e affabilità. Particolare menzione al giro delle cantine con assaggi degli ottimi vini di produzione propria. Ottima la posizione, nel pieno centro di Civitella d'Agliano buon punto di partenza per visitare la Tuscia.

   Accommodation was fine.

   There was no tavern "next door" now only for groups. No evening special meals, no meals at all. There was a wine festival in the square, with the band stage nearly beneath our window, extremely noisy well past midnight as promised. My husband slept in the lounge until the owner put us in another room. No better as there was a disco further down the lane. The owner did not charge for that night's accommodation. We would rather have been notified of the wine festival so different arrangements could have been made. We would much rather have had a good nights sleep, as the next day, we were travelling back to Australia, which required driving to Rome, then four different flights to get back home. We have the money to pay for a room, but to be deprived of sleep meant it was an dreadful journey after having sleep deprevation.

The Farmhouse La Tana dell' Istrice is located in a medieval manor house, in a small town located between Orvieto and Viterbo. It comprises 8 doubles and 3 suites, all with bathroom, air conditioning WIFI.

It offers the opportunity to witness the wine production cycle and sample a wide selection of organic wines,visiting our vineyards, the modern and ancient cellars.

Our restaurant offers traditional cuisine and may be used for parties and ceremonies. In Summer time guests can use the swimming pool amongst the vineyards: 1km away from the village and the farmhouse.
