   It was perfect! The views were unbelievable. We wish we could of stayed more than one night. Staff very helpful. Hope to come back again someday.

   The restaurant was closed on sunday. Would love to have eaten there.

   For anyone that wants to stay in a very special hotel that will last in your memories forever, where the staff is helpful and happy to serve you this is the hotel to choose. The restaurant is amazing with very fair prices. The maids smile and say "Good Morning" and make you feel they are glad you are staying in their hotel. We are completely satisfied with our stay and you will be also.

   This was a highlight of our trip. The views from the rooms and the patios are awesome and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The village of Ponte is much more authentic and much less touristy than Porto, and there's a great fish market, with fishermen selling fish from their boats, just at the end of the causeway to the castle. There is a cafeteria and restaurant at the castle, both of which serve excellent food. We highly recommend Il Monestero!

   People traveling with a lot of luggage mind find the access a little challenging, but it is well worth it.

   To stay in the castle was a dream. the staff is very professional and accomodating. the food was divine, and just the sights and view from our room was worth the trip. (request the superior room- its the only one with a balcony- well worth it!)

   nothing. everything was perfect- oh wait! the shower was terrible! it is tiny and water gets everywhere!@ but as far as complaints its a very minor one... i would highly recommend this place

   Il Monastero's castle setting is magnificant as is the view over Ischia Ponte. I had seen a photo of the castello several years ago and one look made it a "must stay there" location should the opportunity ever arise. We were fortunate to have a room (I think it is the only one) with a small balcony. The island is very enjoyable. Few tourists in evidence (we were there at end of September) and no "tour groups" being herded about. Ischia would be a grand location for a refugee from a Canadian winter.

   The only dissatisfaction was with our own schedule. We would have liked to be able to stay much longer. I should explain my notation that website description corresponds only "partially." The issue is a very minor one. Web-references to Il Monastero suggest guests have access to the full range of the castle grounds. This is true but only if the regular admission fee (10 Euro as I recall) is paid. The hotel and the castle are administered by different families.

   This place was amazing! I have no words to describe how beautiful and picturesque the interior and exterior were. The art work displayed around the hotel was modern and unique, which made myself feel at home. The staff were always smiling/laughing and always willing to help with any situation. I have nothing bad to say about il monestero. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

   The shower was open in the bathroom which made water go everywhere. I find it would help if you would have something to seperate it from the toilet. I understand the bathroom is rather small, however, if you add a divider it would help avoid water all over the bathroom.
