When we finally found this B & B we entered a most amazing Palazzo. Beautifully refurbished with very modern, comfortable rooms. High ceilings made the space seem larger. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was 100m from the B & B and free. Our room though on the top floor ( no lifts) was huge and our friends had two huge terraces off their room while we had access to a communal terrace ( no real views). The beds were very comfortable. It was walking distance from all the main historical sites of beautiful Lecce.
The breakfast room compared to the rest of the accommodation was quite small and having to sit on very high stools is not a very comfortable experience. Breakfast was just OK. My husband and I arrived at the wrong time for check in, and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. They made us very comfortable and served us a wonderful espresso and some water while we waited for the room. The manager of suite 68 showed up 10 minutes later and was so gracious about checking us in and having the room ready. The room was unique and fabulous, very clean and spacious. The price was very reasonable and the location is prefect for the sights in the historic centre of Lecce. The whole atmosphere of this bed and breakfast is perfect.
