    The accommodation was even better than I expected, the room very modern and clean. Fiametta and Piero were wonderful hosts, they looked after all our needs. When our taxi didn't arrive when we were leaving, Fiametta dropped us to the ferry which was very much appreciated. The view from our room was amazing, we stayed in the room to the side of the building so were able to get the beautiful view as we woke up in the morning. We did not have a car so had to depend on the bus service to take us into Menaggio each day which we didn't mind as it gave us a time frame to plan our days. It was a wonderful and quiet place to come home each day to unwind and relax. There is an excellent Pizzeria 5 mins walk away where would have our night meals closed Mondays.

    the view of lago di como is amazing it's located on the hill above mennagio 5 minutes drive away, the hospitality was very warm and helpful. we traveled with a baby and it was comfortable.i deffinatly recommand this place if you look for a nice and very quite place.

    Es war ein Traumurlaub. Fiamneta und Piero sind wundervolle Gastgeber, das Zimmer ist gemütlich und toll eingerichtet, das Frühstück ist einfach nur herrlich. Es ist unvergleichlich, morgens aufzuwachen und vom Bett aus bereits den See und die Berge zu genießen. Dazu wird das Frühstück auf die Terrasse serviert - Genuss pur. Die Ruhe, die Gastfreundschaft und die tolle Umgebung, gepaart mit super Wetter - das war Erholung pur.
    Da gibts überhaupt nichts zu berichten.

    We loved it! we spent our first night in Italy at LE ERICHE, The owners were warm and welcoming and very helpful in recommending places, attractions etc. The room looks exactly like the pictures and the view from the room is amazing (to the lake). Everything is clean and we felt like home. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PLACE!

    The B&B is lovely and the hosts are wonderful. The view from the garden terrace over lake Como is stunning. The room itself was immaculately clean and very nicely decorated. The fireplace adds a nice romantic touch. The B&B is in a quiet location, off the beaten path, so this is for people who want a quiet, serene environment. Great hiking trails just a few kilometers away.
    It was perfect for us. Nothing did not satisfy.

    La camera era pulita e rispecchiava le immagini del sito, l'ambiente era curato ed accogliente, come i proprietari, Fiammetta e Piero, gentili e molto disponibili. Ti coccolano a partire dalla colazione che, tempo permettendo, viene servita sulla terrazzina della stanza che gode di un panorama meraviglioso. Il posto ideale per passare un piacevole week end sul lago di Como, a pochi passi da mete di interesse. Ne siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti!

    What a wonderful Lake Como retreat. Beauty, peace, privacy and so well located to see many areas by ferry. The hosts are so helpful. Even fixed us a great dish of pasta for dinner when our connections left us without time to dine out. If we get back to the area, it is the first place we will try to book.

    We stayed at the Le Eriche for two nights in September. It is a very beautiful place overlooking the lake Como. The views are magnificent and we were able to enjoy them every morning at breakfast. It is worth to mention really comfortable bed and delicious hot chocolate every morning. We had the most wonderful stay. Thank you!
    Hot shower was a problem. We would run out of hot water very quickly. Also, the room is in the basement but it is hard to see on the pictures. It is comfortable and well arranged, just a little dark and offers limited views from the inside.

    Our hosts were only too happy to help with transport, finding restaurants and interpreting 'difficult to comprehend' ferry timetables. Breakfasts were freshly made and delivered on the terrace with fantastic views of Lake Como. Despite one very rainy day, there were interesting villages to visit by ferry and many wonderful attractions on the lake.

    Ci ha soddisfatto: la posizione, infatti il B&B è ubicato in zona tranquilla da cui si scorge un panorama stupefacente, il servizio, la pulizia della camera, la camera stessa visto che a sorpresa la stanza dispone di un camino e ogni giorno ci sono uno o più rifornimenti di legna, ideale per trascorrerci dei soggiorni romantici. Io lo consiglio vivamente, rapporto qualità/prezzo veramente interessante, cortesia e ospitalità oltre ogni aspettativa.

    Our hosts were exceedingly welcoming despite our late arrival and numerous calls for directions, and greeted us with an aperativo. The room was spacious, well appointed with many books and English novels to enjoy. Local knowledge was great. Breakfast was delicious. The views from the terrace across the lake and out to the mountains was stunning, well worth the drive. Its proximity to Hotel du Lac and Villa Carlotta with its glorious gardens was a bonus. We have recommended Le Eriche to our family and friends, but have advised them that the setting and the long drive from Como along the lake really deserve a longer stay then just overnight. Please thank our hosts for their hospitality.
    The distance from Como to Le Eriche was further than we anticipated, and the road signs were poor causing confusion and frustration. After numerous calls to our hosts for directions. . . "Don't go into the tunnel" being his greatest warning, we encountered at least 4 tunnels. Choosing the one to avoid was a nightmare!!! It would be beneficial for written directions from Como to Le Eriche to be included in the documentation, web page and booking confirmation sheet, as this would greatly assist exhausted travellers.

    A view to die for! Excellent base for Lake Como and Lugarno. The Tagliasacchis were wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were of an excellent standard, changing a little each day for variety - super! Close to Menaggio and town facilities.

    The owners of the B&B were very friendly and spoke English fluently. They really went out of their way to assist and make our stay enjoyable. The views from the garden are spectacular, it was lovely having our breakfast in the garden overlooking the lake.
    We found the place fairly easily with a GPS but would have battled to find it otherwise

    Le Eriche var en jätte trevligt B&B med en fantastisk utsikt. Värdparet var väldigt snälla och hjälpsamma och kom med goda råd och tips. Frukosten var väldigt god och varierande och att vid fint väder sitta och äta sin frukost i deras trädgård med denna fina utsikt över sjön Como var alldeles underbart. Le Eriche är verkligen ett ställe som vi rekommenderar andra.

    Location is perfect - just a short drive from Menaggio; mid-level overlooking Lake Como with fantastic view; also convenient place to start a walk on Sunday Warm and friendly hosts who spoke good English and could offer good travelling advice in the area Lovely atmosphere - not a huge place, but we like the colors of the garden and the homely feel - we are offered a little private garden for sunshine and breakfast in the morning.
    We wanted to book for a longer stay but they were so popular.

    I started to launch into a detailed lauding of this lovely bed and breakfast maintained by Piero and Fiametta, with the able assistance of Marco and Barbara, but it can be summed up in a single word - PERFECT. Thanks very much to these kind inn-keepers, and my kindest regards to Romeo, Luca and the nameless, friendly black cat. W
    No complaints, but a few suggestions for future visitors: If you are driving and arriving on Sunday, plan to arrive by noon or plan to travel at 5km/hour for a long time in heavy traffic. When you get to Menaggio stop and call Piero/Fiametta for directions - the GPS will lie to you. Eat at Ostaria Pozzi in the main piazza - it rocks. Also try Red and White in Tremezzo - very good. There is a pizzaria off the main piazza that provided the rudest treatment I've ever had, but the name escapes me. Park in the Menaggio public lot - it's worth it, is 1 minute walking to town center, and I never got a ticket when I ran over time. It is next door to a pasticceria and across from the ambulance service. If you are a cyclist make sure you have a blinky light for the tunnels, go down to the road by the lake and ride along at an easy pace until a group catches you and you can invariably join them, but take your turn on the front! Make sure you get one of the local maps. Stop in the bicycle shop in Dongo - really nice guy runs the place. The running trails in the park near centro sportivo are excellent, but take a GPS or good map. If you go to Lago di Como in May don't plan to swim - water is too cold.

    We stayed there only 3 days, but these days were fantastic. The calmness of the area is grate and the Menaggio is one of the most beautiful citys in area Como! I suggest this to everione!

    la vista sul lago è spettacolare e anche abitando tra le montagne, poche volte si riscontra un paesaggio così suggestivo. La ns. piccola cagnetta ha apprezzato molto la compagnia di Romeo (cane vecchio ma bravissimo e sipatico) e il grandissimo giardino intorno alla casa. La colazione è eccezzionale, poichè la Sig.ra Fiammetta prepara proprio tutto in casa.
    Nix, che in italiano vuole dire "NIENTE".

    Delightful host and hostess - friendly and accommodating. They had tourist brochures and lots of good information for sightseeing in the area.
    Difficult to find. Bigger, brighter B&B sign would help. Need more light for reading, there was no lamp by the sofa.

    We stayed 6 nights at El Riche Bed & Breakfast and didn't want to leave. The hosts went out of there way to make sure our stay was perfect. I loved the home-made breakfasts, the fireplace was superb and the views from our own little private garden were just so spectacular I almost thought I was in paradise. We can not speak more highly of this bed and breakfast, and would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone. The hosts went above and beyond there duty and we were so grateful for all there knowledge and tips on there local area. The room itself was lovely, neat and extremely clean. The microwave was an added bonus as we had the choice to stay in for dinner. Bravo 10 out of 10. Bellisimo.... can't wait to return ....

    il posto è strategico: il panorama è uno dei migliori che si possa avere, appena in collina e a 5 min. dal lago. L'accoglienza è stata ottima, direi decisamente familiare. La camera è molto confortevole e ben arredata. La colazione è varia, ma soprattutto da apprezzare per il fatto che è tutto preparato dalla bravissima Fiammetta... Un grazie anche a Piero per i suoi utili consigli per le bellezze di questo posto unico.
    non abbiamo trovato aspetti negativi se non il poco tempo a nostra disposizione.

    The only difficulty we had was finding Le Eriche after arriving in the area in the dark but our host was very good in giving directions via phone. We enjoyed our stay. Our hosts very kindly sent onto me a jacket and trousers that I absent mindedly had left in the wardrobe.

    Although initially a bit hard to locate, once we did, the views from outside our room were spectacular, and taking breakfast at the outside table, whilst overlooking Lake Como, was a treat to start each day. Plesio lies a few kilometres up the hill from Managgio, which is a lovely little lakeside town, very popular on sunny weekends. Plesio also lies a few kilometres away from some challenging, but spectacular, hiking paths up the mountain. Well worth doing if you need to burn off a few pastries and pizza slices.
    Wish we could have had another day there.

    I spent two weeks traveling through Italy and Switzerland with my boyfriend and this was by far our favorite place. The beauty of the area, the home, and the owners of Le Eriche cannot be described with words. I highly recommend Le Eriche to travelers of any age, you will not be disappointed.

    The operators were most congenial and helpful. When we had difficulty getting laundry done, they allowed us to use their washing machine and hang our clothes outside to dry. Breakfasts were excellent and beautifully served.

    Anche se è stato un soggiorno breve, siamo stati meravigliosamente bene. L'accoglienza straordinaria dei proprietari, la posizione con la stupenda vista lago dal giardino, la squisita colazione della Sig.ra Fiammetta (yogurt super, torta, cioccolato caldo, marmellate varie, ecc) tutto preparato da Lei, la privacy che abbiamo avuto, le utilissime informazioni sul luogo del Sig. Pietro, ci hanno fatto dimenticare il brutto tempo che per fortuna ci ha permesso di fare una passeggiata sul lungo lago di Menaggio il sabato sera. Torneremo sicuramente in futuro. Delia e Domenico

    non c'è niente che non sia soddisfacente alle Eriche! L'ospitalità è calda e premurosa, la struttura e la posizione sono ideali. Abbiamo apprezzato molto il giardino con vista ampia e panoramica sul lago per i momenti di relax, le colazioni e anche qualche cena romantica.

    L'accoglienza, la cortesia e la disponibilità oltre allo splendido servizio e la cura dei particolari rendono questo posto ancora più consigliabile. Non parliamo poi della colazione con i prodotti preparati personalmente dalla signora Fiammetta.

    We spent 2 days of our holiday at "Le Eriche". We honestly wish it would have been longer. We were given a warm welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts during our short stay. The location of the house - "above" Menaggio on the hillside - is perfect for relaxation. Le Eriche is sorrounded by trees and hills. The garden with a beautiful view on Lago di Como is calming. The friendly and perfectly clean room is almost an apartman: it is spacious, containing a fire-place, a dining-corner and also a bathroom. Felt like being at home. We wish to return - even once during winter-time...

    Splendid view over Lake Como and very friendly and hospital owner's. Pietro speaks excellent English. Nice room and fine breakfast in the garden overlooking Lake Come. We recommend le Eriche!
