    Lovely place. Firenze and Siena are easy to visit from this starting point. Loved the pool. The room was very clean. Nice breakfast on the terras.
    The room was a bit small for four people, but the weather was so lovely we stayed outside. So it didn't bother us much.

    This place is absolutely beautiful, located in a private valley, where you will feel " sheltered" from traffic and noise, but still very close to excellent restaurants with tasty food and wine around the corner ( just up the hill ) its a 15 minute drive from florence, and from what I understood there is route busses several times per hour on the main road so even tho you dont have a car I dont think there will be a problem getting there. Breakfast was very good, owner friendly and helpful although he didnt speak english. Rooms were neet and tastfully decorated.
    minus for the awful aircondition, wich didnt work propertly.

    This was the highlight of our trip. The owner "Simone" was very nice and accomadating. Best breakfast by far of our 3 stops. Would definitley stay here again.

    We really enjoyed our stay in this place. The house is very nice and the view amazing It was clean. It's not very far from florence and it's a good place to begin the "Chianti Tour"

    We were extremely satisfied with this accomodation. It was a high point of our itinary in Italy. The view was splendid, and rooms charming, just as advertised. Personnel was very handy et helpful to assist us in getting to Flirenze. Distance to Firenze was not great, so easy to park and ride.
    Very minor point: the TV in one of the two rooms did not have the satellite connection; we did not query at host to fix it anyway.

    Really lovely property overlooking the Chianti hills. Easy access to Florence (by public bus from the next town). The owners were particularly nice and tried their best to make our stay special. There were some communication challenges, but we got by. Room was very comfortable...great B&B!

    Ci siamo trovati molto bene: colazione abbondante....piscina....pulizia...! ma soprattutto la gentilezza e la simpatia di Simone e Company; inoltre il B&B è in un posto strategico per visitare le varie città e il chianti. da consigliare vivamente!!!!

    a pittoresque building in an absolutely stunning environment... It's a very quiet and peaceful place and Simone, his wife and his son are very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are clean, the breakfast fresh and tasty and the pool is clean and pleasant.

    Old and very elegant structure, the view around is just spectacular, very nice location to visit Tuscany. Rooms were always clean and tidy. We enjoyed swimming in the swimming pool which is placed just in the shadows of the olive trees. Big compliments to the owner Mr. Simone, he was very nice and helpful person during our whole staying.

    we had a wonderful time at this accomodation. Surrounded by nature and a lovely room. The owner was also very nice but didn't speak that much of english and for us italian was difficult. Would return again.

    The location is heavenly. The staff (especially Simone) was great. We ended up staying an extra night eventhough we had already paid another hotel for that night, and we plan to go back next year.
    Nothing could spoil the joy we had while staying at the La Fonte Del Machiavelli.

    Excellent room cleanliness, comfort, breakfast. The view is spectaculary. The host is very accomodating and met our every need. A perfect location to see Tuscany and convenient bus access to Florence. A car is necessary to drive into local village for dinner and groceries. Basic understanding of Italian is also recommended. But a perfect place to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. We spent 7 days here and enjoyed each day. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful place to see Tuscany and Florence.

    It was a beautiful spot, close to everything. I loved the view from our upstairs window. Breakfast was super. Simone was very helpful.
    I felt we were lacking a few basic amenities in our room - like glasses. We had none at all, and although some were requested, they were never received. It poured rain for two of the four days that we stayed there, and we were confined to our rooms, since there was no communal room to hang out in. The terrace was a beautiful spot, but it could only be used in good weather. A small room where we could have sat with friends and other people we met at the B & B, would have been nice. This is not a complaint. Just an observation.

    The place is fantastic. Locate din the heart of Toscana, with wonderful views of vines and trees. Great place for privacy and relaxation. additionaly, the price is fair.

    The host is the most hospitable man we have ever met. Limited understanding of english/Italian hampered our communication - but nevertheless a brilliant spot to spend time. The rooms & vista are to die for. The discovery of a restaurant on the estate that was excellent was also a surprise This place was one of the highlites of our 6 week holiday. The rooms are truly beautifully maintained & presented as is breakfast. Highly recommended.
    Nothing really. Would suggest that guests have a vehicle as access from main road is not easy.
    There is a small fridge available that is shifted around from room to room - but i would suggest a community fridge be set up for those that wish to watch the sunset from the terrace whilst having a few drinks etc.

    Myself and my entire family cannot describe in words how lovely our stay at La Fonte Del Machiavelli was!!!! There were 5 of us and it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Firstly my family and I would like to thank Simone, our wonderful host. He was so accommodating and so friendly. He was able to advise us where the best places to visit were and would happily go out of his way to see that our every need was fulfilled. The rooms and bathrooms were so clean and lovely we thought we were staying at a 5 star hotel. In addition the rooms were even made up for us each day. The location of this B & B was perfect. It is away from the tourists, yet close to Florence. It was quiet and tranquil with beautiful views. We spent most of our time sitting on the balcony/patio with a glass of wine or coffee depending on the time of day. Sunset was particularly breathtaking. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and completely satisfying. It consisted of pastries, espresso coffee, juice, fruit, youghurts, cured meats, cooked pancetta and delicious egg type pancakes. Just what you need for a big day of sightseeing. We certainly weren't expecting such a wonderful spread. My family and I totally recommend this B & B to every traveller to Florence. It's perfect for couples, families and young travellers. We were also on a budget so the value for money at La Fonte Del Machiavelli is outstanding. Grazie mille Simone! Speriamo di visitarli ancora un giorno. Ciao!
