    alle Malve was a perfect Matera experience. A friendly and accomodating host, Giovanni, made us feel very welcome and helped us with parking. The facility has wonderful upgrades to what would be an historic site, making it full of atmosphere yet modern and comfortable. The location was central and inviting for exploring and feeling a sense of place in the remarkable sassi area. We enjoyed our balcony and all the special touches. A good breakfast each morning, delicious cappuccinos and friendly service. If you want to be anywhere special, on earth, for Easter, we highly recommend Matera, to experience the 4 night spettacolo on the canyon ridge opposite the sassi, a reenactment of the story of Christ's crucifixion.
