The apartment location was wonderful - near great sites, shopping, and restaurants. Merry was very helpful and friendly. She suggested a fantastic restaurant for dinner and also called and made our reservations. Her husband made sure we had a taxi ready to take us to the train station upon our departure. The apartment was very large so we felt like we had plenty of room. It was very convenient to have two bathrooms also. There is a small elevator in the building, so you don't have to carry luggage up or down the stairs, and was wonderful to use after a long day of walking. There is a small terrace in the back also if you want to step out for some fresh air. We very much appreciated the free bottle of Chianti that welcomed us upon arrival. The kitchen was fantastic and very updated (it was great to have a dishwasher). It was also VERY nice to have ceiling fans in the living room and all the bedrooms. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants that extra room that only comes from staying in an apartment. It was very convenient to come back to during the day for a brief rest or glass of wine. If you turn left out the front door and go down just a little way, there is a passage on the left that leads to a great spot for coffee and pastries for breakfast. There is also a nice grocery store down the street to the right. We bought items to make a couple of meals and it was very convenient. As others have said, the street noise is noticable from the front bedroom. Luckily, we only needed two bedrooms, so we used the two that face the back of the building. These were very quiet. The bathrooms were not spotlessly clean. There was some hair on the floor from previous tenants, and the bath mat was dirty also. The beds were very hard by American standards, and the pillows are flatter than what I'm used to, but we found it to be that way everywhere we stayed in Italy. The location is good, centrally located -- a very short walk from the ponte vecchio. The apartment was spacious and clean. It is difficult to find 3 bedroom apartments and this was a good deal for the price. There is a parcheggio very nearby which gives discounted prices for guests at the Enrica. The front bedroom with three twins faces the street and is noisy.
