    the apartment is nice, clean and well-maintained. really spacious. more than enough closet space. washing machine didn't work but Lucia was kind enough to do our laundry in her home (she left a note saying so), and brought the clothes back to the apartment to dry. there's a nearby Billa (supermarket). partially-equipped kitchen.
    we were brought to a different property as apparently, the original "Calicanthus" apartment had some problems. the other apartment was nice but it's a bit farther from where we intended to stay (the property was in Dorsoduro, Calicanthus is supposed to be in Santa Croce area). we weren't able to cook as the building had problems with gas supply. washing machine did not work. no ironing facilities.

    when we left the apartment, we wrote a simple "thank you and goodbye" note to landlady and also sent SMS that we're leaving the key on the kitchen table as instructed, but we didn't hear a peep at all. not even just to confirm receipt of the note/key/SMS.

    Excellent large apartment. Clean, well equipped and attractively funished. Ideal location close to bus and train station without being right on top of them.
