   Georgio was a perfect host. He collected us from the airport and drove us around the city, pointing out places of interest. He spoke very good english. He was kind enough to drop us to enjoy walking around (without our luggage) then collected us later. Lovely breakfast then a lift to train station.

   The air con worked well but was VERY noisy. Couldnt sleep with it on :(

   This was my second stay at Le Piagge. The accommodation is basic, but charming and very clean. The host, Georgio, is so very helpful and accommodating and treats his guests like friends. I will happily return again.

   Giorgio was an excellent host. He has a great sense of humour, was very accommodating and kind, and gave us a lovely tour of Pisa. He did everything we expected, and then some.

   We wouldn't say we were "dissatisfied" with anything, except that we didn't quite understand how we were to pay. That is, if we were supposed to hand Giorgio the money, or leave it in the B&B. It would be nice if that were made clear at the beginning. We left it in the B&B kitchen on the counter and, when he dropped us off at the airport, he asked about the money. When we arrived, I offered to pay him then, but he said no, that he would give us the bill in the morning. We were up at 5:00 am to catch an early flight, so things were somewhat rushed in the morning, and that is why we wanted to get it done the night before.

   Pisa is a tourist's dream of a destination and it did not disappoint me - it was very beautiful. Pisa centre is quite compact and everything you want to see is within walking distance. I was only at Le Piagge for 2 nights, but due to my flight's early arrival, on that first day my son and I saw Pisa, then later on Lucca which is a short train ride away. We took a train to Florence the next day, which is about an hour. On the morning of our final day we spent a couple of hours at the coast and caught a bus back to Pisa, where our host Georgio met us to take us to the airport. Talk about Planes, Trains and Automobiles! All trains and buses are frequent and efficient (more so than the UK!), so don't be worried about missing one. Do make the easy trip to Florence - I had been before and was just a captivated on this, my second visit, as was my son. Now, about Georgio .... He really is the most attentive host I have met on my travels, and he truly made our stay special. He picked us up from the airport, which is only a 5-10 minute drive from Le Piagge, gave us a quick tour and history lesson on Pisa before dropping us in the centre for a wander, insisting he would be happy to pick us up later. Without his advice and enthusiasm I know we would not have seen as much of Pisa and it's surrounding areas as we did. He fell in love with Pisa as a young man, and stayed, and it shows that he still loves his adopted city. Although he is a busy man, he was always on hand to help, and to give lifts if his time allows. The accommodation is basic and clean with everything you need for a short stay - although in my view a pillow and a shower are my essentials! It has air-conditioning too for those hot summer nights. And Georgio is on hand is the morning with his pride and joy - his Real Italian Espresso machine! I'm a tea person, but my son needed his shot of italian-style caffeine. We stayed at Le Piagge because of the good reviews and I can say that they were well deserved, and I am happy to add my thanks to Georgio and Le Piagge for making my stay simply perfect!!

   Slightly dodgy shower which sometimes flowed hot and cold, but really no problem as it kept me on my toes! Bear in mind that the airport is close, but it does CLOSE around 11pm, and the first flights in the morning are around 7am. I hear the first one on our first morning, but I was still so tired that I popped in earplugs and fell asleep again and heard no more. All in all, no problems at all, and would happily stay at Le Piagge again without a second thought.

   Giorgio, the owner, was a perfect host. So helpful and he showed us around, dropped us off and picked us up to and from the station and the airport. He is one of the best host we have ever met.

   The breakfast could have been slightly better, ie : omelette will do.
