   casa antica carina in un posto molto tranquillo,l'appartamento provvisto di tutti i comfort, giardino ampio con alberi da frutto e orto le cui verdure sono offerte agli ospiti. Proprietario molto gentile; ci ha raccontato con passione e amore dell'Abruzzo e alcune gite da lui suggerite ci sono piaciute moltissime!

   Das Haus ist in traditioneller Bauweise mit natürlichen Materialien errichtet beziehungsweise restauriert und fügt sich harmonisch in die Landschaft ein. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die sehr gelungenen Ausstattung des Hauses überwiegend mit antiken Möbeln. Die Bäder sind modern, das Haus ist sehr komfortabel. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch die Möglichkeit, in einem kleinen Nutzgarten, der vom Besitzer für seine Gäste bepflanzt wird, täglich Tomaten und Gemüse zu ernten. Das Haus Colle de Selva bei Abbateggio ist wirklich ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren im Nationalpark Majella. Auch Fahrten an die Adria zum Baden (wichtig, wenn man Urlaub mit Kindern macht), sind von hier aus kein Problem.

   The owner gave us a warm welcome, a bottle of local wine and proudly asked us to rate his home made olive oil. He is also something of a historian and proud of his local heritage so no lack of info on where to go and what to see. The farm house was perfectly equipped, including hammocs and outdoor dining furniture.

   Beautiful fireplace had a ventilation problem and smoked us out a bit.

Farmhouse Colle Della Selva is situated 2 km from the centre of Abbateggio, a characteristic village in the Majella National Park in Abruzzo.

It is in a splendid panoramic position with a view that sweeps over the peaks of Majella and Morrone to those of Gran Sasso to then take in the Adriatic sea.

Farmhouse Colle Della Selva, in the middle of the 10 hectare property of fields and oak woods, consists of 2 characteristic stone farmhouses, 1 dating back to the late 1800's and the other to the early 1900.

The renovation of the farmhouses has been carried out with the utmost respect for the structures, traditional colors and materials using only stone, wood, brick, wrought iron and natural brass.

The color-wash painting of the rooms has been done with natural earth pigments, the flooring is in linseed-treated, handmade terracotta, the floors are of wooden beams, joists and terracotta flat tiles.

Farmhouse Colle Della Selva offer rooms and apartments, furnished with traditional wooden or wrought iron furniture, giving both a rustic as well as a refined atmosphere.

All apartments, kitchens and rooms, have a fireplace even though an invisible under floor heating system mitigates the temperatures of the winter months.

Each apartment also boasts a small library in addition to the main one for the guests.

Farmhouse Colle Della Selva also has large outdoor spaces available for rest, relaxation or stretching legs.

A few particularly suggestive areas of the property will be pointed out for reading or meditation.

In other parts, it is possible to take advantage of the lack of illumination and, at night, lying in a field, admire the starry sky listening to the sounds of nature.
